Oncology deals with tumors (cancer).

The oncologist organizes the care of cancer patients, which may involve various treatments of different disciplines such as physiotherapy, counselling, clinical genetics. Oncologists often consult with pathologists on the exact biological nature of a tumor that is being treated. Among elderly men, cancers of the prostrate and colon are the most common while for women it is breast cancer.
